Due to low water levels we are spending 3 days along side the dock in Strasbourg (France), Kehl (Germany). the downside was missing a couple of towns on the journey, the only real bit missed was the museum with the original Gutenberg press.
Day 1 we spent a lovely time walking through Kehl, doing some shopping enjoying the local market and generally just enjoying this small but very nice township. back in time for lunch and to avoid the rain.
Day 2 we spent in Strasbourg itself, wandering through the streets, the canals, and yep the obligatory cathedral, the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Strasbourg.
This town is one of the best along the journey, very pretty, different things to see and very relaxing.
Day 3 Sunday the walking tour of Strasbourg was scheduled but after yesterday, decided a rest day was a far better option. Very relaxing day spent on the boat and some short walks .
Left for Basel just after lunch, so a great afternoon cruising the river.
