Beginning the day with a subway trip to Notre Dame for a walk around as tickets sold out, throughly recommend the subway as an easy way to get around, with temp hitting 34 c today things were heating up so subway was a wise choice.
A nice find on the way was the hotel De ville which was never a hotel!
The construction is still very much underway around the outside, so views were obstructed but good. From there a quick walk and subway trip to the louvre for our 11.30 ticket entry.
A fabulous time spent exploring every floor, but only a fraction of the things to see over 2 hours, really an amazing place that has expanded since we were here 12 odd years ago. The addition of shops and a bigger food court at reasonable prices were welcome.
Back to do a little bit of shopping as you do in Paris. Everyone is happy!
The Hôtel de Ville in Paris is the historic city hall, not a hotel. Located at Place de l'Hôtel de Ville in the 4th arrondissement, it has been the seat of the municipal government since 1357. The neo-Renaissance exterior features over 300 statues of famous French figures.
